The Lions organization started in 1917, with the insight of Melvin Jones who encouraged his fellow business owners in Chicago to think beyond their business needs and work to better their communities. This is a central thread in our commitment to the Belmont community, as well as the greater mission of Lions organizations worldwide. To learn more about the Lions history and impact on global communities go to www.lionsclubs.org.
In Belmont, we stand by the same mission. To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and encourage international understanding through Lions clubs.
The Belmont Lions Club has a membership of more than 60. Every member supports the ongoing commitment to uphold the high standards of Lions everywhere, and has a particular interest in supporting the Belmont community. We understand how every member contributes to the strength of our town's ecosystem. We are either residents or business owners in Belmont.
On behalf of the Lions, we invite you to get to know us and join us in making Belmont a stronger community for all.
